I was planning on learning some actual, you know, living languages this summer. If I’ll be working with the UN (and who knows, maybe Syria eventually) French would be an asset.
It’s no fun being quadlingual if no one even speaks half of your languages.

Sorry… you can’t really learn French without grammar basics! Unless you only want some “ready-to-wear” sentences to get by…
I train corporate people to become fluent in French: trust me, it can’t be done overnight…

Ace, I might take you up on that - though yeah, if I do decide to start learning French seriously again I’ll get a tutor and do it right.
Arabic’s looking likely too. I wonder if I have time to learn them both…
